Listened to the Boortz show for five minutes as I was getting ready for work yesterday.
He was taking a call. I heard a man say Mr. Boortz....Nation of Islam..
I thought, did he just say Nation of Islam?
Then Boortz said something like, sir! Sir! Let me stop you
right there! I've only got one thing to say to you! Nation
of Islam can KISS MY ASS!
The man on the phone was still trying to talk. Mr Boortz? Mr Boortz?
Boortz told the producer to get the guy off the phone.
Then he told the producer he didn't want to talk to that guy ever again.
He was still pissed off & lectured a bit about Farrakhan, the
recent march etc. (I think this has come up on conservative radio
shows quite a bit since the march)
He concluded with something like, I don't give a rat's ass what Farrakhan thinks.
Anyway, pls take this time to give your own opinion on Nation o' Islam
or the kinds of things that were discussed at the march (I didn't
listen to or watch any of the coverage).
I couldn't come up with a decent stmt right now if I wanted to so I'll
just leave the floor to you, just to see if you have an angle on this
thing that I haven't thought of before.
All I can offer up at the moment is that for some time, Stv was afraid
I was secretly racist & it took a significant number of yrs before
he was able to understand why I had (have) the opinion I did (do).
If what you write is especially long, email it to me & I'll add it here for you.
I've gotten the impression that this is an area in which we really
aren't supposed to have an opinion or even worse, actually express that
opinion.
This is just the kind of thing I want to delve into here. And
certainly not merely soze I can just drone on & on about my "big
knowledge."
I'm hoping I can be introduced to some new angles on things I never thought of before.
I'm pretty bored with myself really. I'm with me all the time.
He did not repeat his speculations in
recent weeks that someone bombed New Orleans' protective levees,
deliberately flooding black neighborhoods after Katrina struck.
"We want to know what happened to the
levees," Farrakhan said Saturday. "We don't want to guess about it and
we don't want to be guilty of following rumors."
